The Zonta Clubs of Christchurch are helping Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Aotearoa to highlight the link between mental well being and exercise. 25 percent of New Zealand women suffer from depression during or after pregnancy and 10 percent of men experience depression after a child is born.
PADA is the national organisation advocating for anyone experiencing mental illnesses as a result of pregnancy, childbirth or early parenthood. PADA is a charity that receives no government funding and relies solely on grants and donations.
