Online DEI workshops from Sport NZ
Sport NZ has partnered with global consultancy Diversitas to bring a series of free DEI online workshops to the play, active recreation and sport sector in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Championing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) means organisations and individuals can cultivate environments where everyone feels a true sense of belonging. This not only improves decision-making and problem-solving but also boosts job satisfaction and performance.
By attending these online workshops, you will:
- learn how DEI principles lead to better outcomes;
- gain insights into how biases impact workplaces and how to address them; and
- develop skills for inclusive leadership and working with diverse cultures.
Three different 90-minute workshops will be run from March to May 2025:
- DEI Foundations: Explore the concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and their significance in play, active recreation and sport in Aotearoa New Zealand.
- Unconscious bias awareness: Understand the origins of bias, its impact on workplaces and strategies to address it.
- Inclusive leadership: Understand the traits and skills needed for inclusive leadership in play, active recreation and sport.
