Links between sedentary behaviour and mental health among adolescents

This systematic review suggests there is emerging evidence to link increased time spent using screens for leisure, with poorer mental health experiences among adolescents.

Specifically strong consistent evidence suggests higher levels of screen time for leisure or entertainment is associated with increased symptoms of depression and and mental distress among this age group.
