Kaiapoi Adventure Race

Join this day of excitement, camaraderie and fun in the Kaiapoi Red Zone - featuring trail running, mountain biking and orienteering.

Two race options are available:

2-hour event: Need to jog or walk 5km off-road and bike 10km on paths and tracks; and
4-hour event: Need to jog or walk 9km off-road and bike 20km on paths and tracks.

You need to compete as a team of between 2 and 4 people. The 2-hour event is designed for families and beginners to adventure racing.

Dates: Sunday 20th October 2024.
Time: 9am for the 4-hour event and 10am for the 2-hour event. Briefing will be 15 minutes before the start.
Location: Huria Reserve (Courtney Drive, Kaiapoi).
Cost: All primary school children must race with an adult. A late fee will apply to entries received after Sunday 15th September 2024.

2-hour event: $55 for adults (18 years +) and $30 for students (under 18 years); and
4-hour event: $100 for adults and $55 for students.

The Kaiapoi Fun-day will start from 1pm - with market stalls, food trucks and entertainment.

The Kaiapoi Adventure Race is a fundraising event for the Youth Development & Opportunities Trust. They run trade training courses and a youth gym. They provide opportunities, resources and direction to enable young people in North Canterbury to develop skills for life.
